Continuing with our offerings, Pfizer's CT Women's Leadership Network invites you to attend this workshop designed to provide insight into leadership behaviors and communication styles.

Effective communication provides the foundation for all successful personal and professional relationships. Great leaders have had one thing in common- they know themselves. Equally important, they have learned how to identify the communication styles of those around them. Once you understand how to recognize and appreciate others behavioral designs you can use that knowledge to adapt your communication to be a more effective leader and communicator that will drive results needed. This interactive workshop is led by Leading Women's President and Certified Behavioral Analyst, Lisa Bergeron.

Participants will....

* Have with a greater understanding of their individual communication and style preferences.

* Learn how to apply strategies to adapt & blend their communication behaviors to be more effective with their clients, peers, colleagues, supervisors and employees.

* Learn how to use dynamic communication to enhance their individual leadership, team, organization and business performance.

Assessment

Participants will complete a 10-minute online assessment prior to the workshop. This 22 page personalized assessment identifies your style when responding to problems & challenges, influencing others to your point of view, responding to the pace of your environment, and responding to rules and procedures. This manager-oriented report is a powerful tool on your journey towards excellence in your leadership interactions.

Cheryl Merchant has been in automotive manufacturing for 25+ years. She began as a production supervisor at General Motors, where she was the only woman, working second shift in the gritty heart of Detroit. She quickly advanced her career working at Mazda, the Ford Motor Co. and then at the Lear Corporation. She climbed through the ranks and in various departments until she was the Plant Manager of a 3500 employee operation in Mexico making automotive car seat covers at a rate of 20,000 vehicles / week. Besides Mexico, she has also managed plants in Canada, Poland, England, and in various locations in the US. She has dealt with operation start-ups, shut-downs, mergers, and relocations; and with more products than is possible to list.

For the last 10 years, she has been the President/CEO of Hope Global. During that time, the company has went from being ‘Hope Webbing’ to ‘Hope Global, Engineered Textile Solutions’, has grown in revenue by 2.5x and expanded its operations to having plants in Rhode Island, Michigan, Mexico, Brazil, Ireland, France and Czech Republic. Over the past year of global economic struggle, Hope has stream-lined its operations and organizational structures to survive and become even stronger. Cheryl is an active member and the immediate past-chair for the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce, sits on the Governor’s Economic Development Council and RI Commodores.
